June 25 – Taps Played by BTB Trumpeter at Korean War Commemoration Ceremony

A fitting opening to Barnstable Town Band’s 2025 Season occurred this morning with BTB trumpeter Joan Hendel playing Taps (click here for video) for the 75th Anniversary of the Start of the Korean War Commemoration Ceremony in Hyannis. Joan indicated that she was proud to represent her military brothers and sisters at this emotionally heartfelt event. It was also personally important to Joan because her father was a Korean War veteran.

Our first 2025 Concert on the Green will take place next Wednesday evening (July 2) at 7pm on the Hyannis Green. It will be a patriotic-themed program commemorating the Independence Day holiday. Hope to see you there!
